Name: Maribelle (last name unknown) Race: Undead Age (at time of Plague): 23 Weight: 182 lbs. Class: Mage Personality: Withdrawn, distrustful, pessimistic
Next to nothing is known about the past of the woman known only as Maribelle. Upon her re-awakening in the Forsaken outpost of Deathknell, she found she had no memory of any event of her life prior to her revitalization. It was an eerie, unnerving experience for her as she was shown to her own grave. Though fairly new, it had been defaced, with her last name, place of birth, and date of demise chiseled out. She was able to determine only her first name and her age from the headstone, but the other details, unfortunately, were lost on her.
In a melancholy haze, she attempted to enter a human town to try and find some form of burial record that could tell her more, but of course, not knowing her intent, the townspeople attacked. She was driven from the village, bruised and bleeding, and fled into the nearby woods, hiding from the guardsmen and their hounds. When she was discovered by a two-man patrol, she became enraged and burnt the soldiers to cinders. Returning to Deathknell and to those she called her "fellow monsters", she learned to harness this arcane power, and undertook training to become a mage.
A year later, in Orgrimmar, she bought a bottle of milk from a young tauren woman, and was dismayed to find that, like all other liquids and foods, it fell right through the enormous hole in her torso. The tauren girl introduced herself as Haruna, and offered to find some way to help. Maribelle declined, but Haruna still set about working on something to help her. In about a week, the druid sought Maribelle out, and demonstrated a new spell. This modified variant of a druid's regeneration spell revitalized Maribelle's dead tissue, making her whole again. The only things remaining to show that she was Forsaken were her skin color, her slouch, and of course, her attitude.
Maribelle immediately set about eating as much as she could, happy to finally enjoy what she had missed out on. She stopped when it started to hurt, and had to restrain herself from screaming in embarrassment when she saw that she had stuffed herself so much that she looked pregnant. She immediately hid in a cluster of rocks outside the city, and cradled her aching belly until it no longer hurt. She smiled as she patted her gurgling tummy and relaxed in the noonday sun, contented in her gluttony.
Maribelle is an eager and skillful fighter, if a little headstrong and overconfident. She tends to see the worst in things, which is definitely not a surprise given her first impressions of life as a Forsaken. There are those among her kind who detest her for trying to deny what she is by being whole, and unfortunately, those people constitute a majority. As a result, Maribelle tends to stay around Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff more than the Undercity. She is not afraid of expressing her worst emotions, but feels awkward displaying happiness. This is not to say that nothing makes her happy, however...
Maribelle loves to stuff herself. Having spent the better part of two years (counting the time before her revitalization) without food, she seems to have an insatiable appetite at times. She does not necessarily have to eat to sustain herself, but the enjoyment she gets from the taste (as well as the feeling of fullness) is more than enough reason for her.
Maribelle currently lives in Orgrimmar, where she continues her mage training under a troll teacher.
Eek! Bloated Forsaken. I've been dreading the day I see this. DX
S'not that bad though, she's kind of cute...why are the undead hot in WoW, it's just wrong! ><
Anyhow, it's a nice drawing with another nice character background. :3

Breaking up with you isn't how I do things. If we have problems that need to be dealt with, I'd probably just cut your break lines, slip strychnine in your food, or something along those lines.
I've noticed as much, and really appreciate the lack of perfectly symmetrical rot exposing perfectly symmetrical bone--or better yet non-symmetrical rot with internal flesh sacs falling out every which way.
So thank you for sparing those details.

To be honest, she's probably my favorite of your WoW girls to date. I like the Forsaken, I like stuffing... I see nothing to DISlike. Even her pessimistic attitude is oddly endearing in its own way.
Kudos to you for having the most adorable undead girl on the site, in my humble opinion.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
